Neil's Driving Tuition

I am a fully independent DVSA Approved Driving Instructor based in Topsham and I offer manual driving lessons only.

If you are feeling anxious about taking to the wheel for the first time, try not to worry, I will be there to guide and help you overcome your fears.

My aim is to make you feel relaxed and comfortable. I will do this with patience, understanding and I will listen to how you feel. I want all my pupils to feel at ease and enjoy their driving lessons. 

All of my lessons are on a 1-2-1 basis and getting to know you is really important as it means I can tailor your lessons to suit your learning needs.

I will actively encourage and help you feel relaxed wherever you are driving. I will treat you as an individual as we all learn in different ways and at varying speeds. If you progress quickly through a particular topic and you feel ready, we can move on to something more challenging. If you don’t feel ready to move on, then we won’t until you are confident. I will help you to learn at your pace, understand ‘why’ we do something and ensure you choose the ‘safest’ option in situations and scenarios when you are driving independently.

I record all lessons via an online App. You will have access to this App so you can view your payments, lesson dates, your progress and the things we have discussed during each lesson. If you do any private practice outside of our lessons, it is useful to refer to our lessons within the App so you can ensure you get the most from your private practice. It also has some useful links which will help you with your Theory Test, car insurance and many other helpful pieces of information to help you.

The most satisfying part of my job is seeing a pupils driving grow and the ‘smile’ on a pupils face when the examiner says to them ‘Congratulations you have passed your driving test”’ and knowing that they have not just passed their test, but understand how to be a safe, competent and considerate driver.
