YOUR ROAD TO PASSING YOUR DRIVING TEST

From the moment we meet, I will treat you as an individual. We will discuss what you already know, how you learn and get to know each other.

The  first time behind the wheel can be a daunting experience  for  some, others may feel a bit more confident but however you feel, I will help you build your confidence and grow into a driver who, not only passes their test, but also a safe and considerate driver for life.

During your first lesson, I  will spend time checking your licence, check you can read a number plate from 20.5 metres and time introducing you to the controls of the cars. What they all do and how you use them.

Once you are happy with the controls, I will help you get the car moving. Initially just a short distance down the road and then to a safe and controlled stop. Don't worry about being expected to change gears or deal with heavy volumes of traffic or junctions at the moment. I will help and introduce the various stages of driving at a pace that you are happy with and easy to manage steps.

When you are ready, we will then move on to dealing with basic junctions and roundabouts and as your confidence grows, deal with more complex situations such as multi lane roundabouts, box junctions, different types of road and onto dual carriageways. 

At the start of each lesson, we will discuss what you want to achieve by the end of your lesson. During the lesson, we will work together for you to achieve that goal. At the end, we will reflect on the lesson as a whole, find out if you feel  you  have achieved what your goal you set at the beginning of the lesson and agree your next objective. All of which is recorded in an App that you will have access to that shows your progress, lesson notes, lessons done and booked in and a record of payments.
